Lal darwaza is situated in New Delhi and later it is renamed as khooni darwaza meaning blood door and it was renamed to this because of the death of the son of last Mughal Emperor Bahadur Shah and he was killed by British people in a revolution .

The Lal Darwaza was renamed as Khooni Darwaza in Delhi because during the Mughal era the ruler Jahangir killed the abdur Rahim khan I Khanna's Sons and hung them on this gate and left their bodies to rot and be eaten by vultures.
