It was the major Non - violent protest against the British which was lead by the Mahatma Gandhi and Is also called the salt Mac or Salt Satyagraha in March - April 1930.

Dandi Yatra is also known as ' Namak Yatra ' or ' Dandi Satyagraha ' .it was founded by Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi started a foot march from Ahmadabad's Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi Village because British government imposed a tax an salt, this foot march was also called Dandi yatra, Dandi Satyagraha.
