The name of the poem to complete a poem or a stanza with three lines are known as tercet . Tercet only contains three lines to complete a poem . some of examples of such poems are haiku , triplet and enclosed tercet . A haiku is an poem which speaks about the nature and this poem was introduced in the country Japan .

A poem with three lines is called as the tercet. It is derived from the Latin word tertius meaning three. Any stanza of the poem that contains three lines are called as the tercet.
